McFarlane Toys is back with another wave that actually matters. While Todd McFarlane's company has been hit-or-miss with their DC Multiverse line, the latest releases show they're finally listening to collectors who want more than just basic articulation and cheap plastic.
Batman Beyond Gets Justice
The standout piece is the new Batman Beyond figure. Terry McGinnis has been criminally underrepresented in the action figure world, especially at this price point. McFarlane nailed the sleek black suit with red bat symbol, and the articulation actually works this time.

Finally, a proper Terry McGinnis figure that doesn't suck.

The figure comes with multiple hands, a flight stand, and interchangeable head sculpts. At twenty bucks, it's competing directly with Hasbro's Marvel Legends pricing while delivering better paint apps and tighter joints.
Spawn Returns Home
McFarlane's also dropping a new Spawn Classic Comic figure that feels like a love letter to the character's roots. This isn't another lazy repaint. We're talking about a completely new sculpt based on Greg Capullo's early artwork from the '90s run.

The cape articulation is insane. Instead of the usual rubbery mess, they've used a flexible wire armature that holds poses without looking stiff. Plus you get the chains, multiple hands, and Al Simmons' head without the mask.
High-End Alternative: Spider-Man 2099
If you want to step up to sixth scale territory, Hot Toys just announced their Spider-Man 2099 figure. Miguel O'Hara's suit translates perfectly to Hot Toys' premium treatment. The blue and red color scheme pops under different lighting, and the web cape uses the same tech they perfected with Doctor Strange.

Yeah, it's expensive. But if you've been waiting for a definitive Spider-Man 2099 collectible, this is it. The Miguel O'Hara head sculpt looks like it jumped straight out of the comics, and the suit's texture work is ridiculous.
Worth Your Shelf Space
McFarlane's hitting their stride with these DC releases. The quality gap between their figures and Hasbro's offerings is shrinking fast. Batman Beyond alone makes this wave worth checking out, especially if you missed out on the animated series merch the first time around.
The Spawn figure proves Todd still knows his own character better than anyone else. And if you're ready to drop serious money, that Spider-Man 2099 will anchor any Marvel display.
