Call of Duty Goes Back to Boot Camp
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is taking a hard stance against cosmetic chaos. No more Lady Gaga operators, no Omni-Man killstreaks, and definitely no SpongeBob weapon skins. The developers promise a return to military authenticity after years of Fortnite-inspired nonsense.
Finally. The series lost its identity when every lobby became a crossover fever dream. Getting sniped by someone dressed as a Teletubby broke immersion harder than any glitch ever could. If you want cartoon characters, play Fortnite. Let Call of Duty be a war game again.
Randy Pitchford's Underwater Google Discovery
The Borderlands CEO shared photos of an unreleased Google Pixel device that his friend allegedly found while scuba diving. Because nothing says "normal tech leak" like Randy Pitchford posting pictures of waterlogged hardware on social media.
This has to be the weirdest marketing stunt of 2026. Either Google's shipping department needs serious help, or this is the most elaborate viral campaign ever. Knowing Pitchford's track record with publicity stunts, smart money's on the latter.
Baldur's Gate 2 Gets Official Remake Treatment
Wizards of the Coast is reportedly working on an official Baldur's Gate 2 remake. After Baldur's Gate 3's massive success, reviving the classic makes perfect sense. The original still holds up mechanically, but modern audiences deserve updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements.
This could be huge if they don't mess with the core RPG systems. Baldur's Gate 2 is considered one of the greatest CRPGs ever made. Just clean up the graphics, fix the interface, and leave the rest alone. Don't pull a Warcraft 3: Reforged disaster.
Pokémon TCG Goes All-Foil for 30th Anniversary
Pokémon's celebrating three decades of trading cards with an all-holographic set featuring 30 new Pikachu designs plus classic cards like Base Set Charizard. Every card in the set gets the foil treatment, which sounds expensive but probably worth it for collectors.
The nostalgia market remains undefeated. Adults with disposable income will absolutely drop serious cash on shiny Charizard cards they couldn't afford as kids. Smart business move by Pokémon, even if your wallet disagrees.
